Shannon is an accomplished and energetic teacher with 18 years of teaching experience in Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Modern, and Kinderdance. Her training includes a Full Associate degree in AIDTto which she received Honours with Distinction in both Jazz and Tap, as well as training with Dance Educators of America, Dance Olympus, Dance Gala Danse, Tremaine and Dupree International.

Shannon’s dedication to her students and teaching abilities, has given her the opportunity to study dance and train with Major Hollywood faculties in Vancouver, Calgary, Phoenix, Toronto, Seattle, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. These opportunities have permitted Shannon to study under such high profile names as Giordano, Hatchet, Gilbert, Le Tang, and Tremaine.

Her years of dance training and performance skills have resulted in Shannon being the recipient of numerous local, national and international awards, which include North Island Festival of Arts, Dance Gala Danse National Finals, Dupree International, LDI Models, and Miss Canada Pageant. As well as dance training Shannon has additional experience in Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing, Modeling, and Children’s work.

A highlight of Shannon’s career was to appear in a role in Michael Chrichton’s Disney Production “ The 13th Warrior” filmed in BC during 1997.

Shannon has a tremendous amount of experience both in teaching as well as performing and entertaining. Shannon’s student’s benefit greatly from her energetic style and dedication, bringing out the best in her students by strengthening technique, style, and self-confidence.
