Salsa dance is a fusion of many Latin and Afro-Caribbean dances. These dances, including Mambo, Samba, and Cha Cha, Danzon and other Cuban dance forms all play a large part in the evolution of Salsa dance today. Salsa is considered by many as "Cuban" for its origin, ancestry and creation. The Mambo/Salsa similarities are in the basic pattern of six steps danced to an eight count phrase of music. Although Salsa is a partner dance, there are recognized solo steps. These lively classes are sure to get everyone's hearts pumping and hips moving.

Classes are offered to students ages 11 and up.
