Heather Chapman
Instructor
Advanced I Associate A.I.D.T. Modern
Jazz, Hip Hop, Production, Exam
Heather Chapman was born and raised in Vancouver BC. She has been dancing since she was 7 years old right here at CentreStage Dance. For the past 29 years, Heather has developed her knowledge of Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Stage. She has attended many dance workshops and competitions throughout the Lower Mainland representing CentreStage Dance with positivity and enthusiasm.
Heather has completed all of her Modern Jazz examinations, and continued her dance educations by achieving her Associates Degree in the Modern Jazz section of A.I.D.T.
Over the past 17 years, Heather has taught at various studios throughout the Lower Mainland, and has received a number of special awards for her choreography. She has also choreographed in Theatre, working on "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" put on by Millennium Players and for "Einstein’s Gift" put on by Enemies of the Stage.
Heather has worked with students ages 3 to adult, and her vast experience has helped her to understand what each age requires in a teacher. Heather loves the time she spends with all of her students. Her positive, gracious and cheerful nature reflects in her classroom and her students. She believes the sheer enjoyment of dance is just as
important as the technique itself. We are all so excited to have Heather here at CentreStage Dance back for her 6th season!
