Shelby Greaves

Shelby has been dancing with CentreStage Dance since the age of 5. Throughout these years her training has encompassed Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern/Contemporary and Musical Theatre. She has completed her Gold Higher Tap Exam and her Advanced Modern Exam as well as her Advanced I R.A.D. Exam. In 2014, Shelby was chosen by the examiner here from South Africa to receive the bursary given to one advanced dancer in the lower mainland taking their A.I.D.T Modern Exam for the second year in a row! She has successfully competed in many competitions with CentreStage Dance and has represented our studio performing in parades and community events, as well as at Disneyland California.


Outside of the studio Shelby has trained with world renowned instructors at various conventions, and has been fortunate enough to be singled out for scholarships for her enthusiasm, energy and overall talent. She also spent two years on “Team Canada” and travelled to Riesa, Germany in 2013, and Mikolajki, Poland in 2014 to represent Canada in Tap, Jazz and Modern.


More recently Shelby has performed locally in opening ceremonies, parades television Events, as well as theatrical shows at the PNE. In 2017 and 2018 she toured British Columbia performing in Wondersee Entertainment’s “The Great Big Boo,” a family Halloween show.


In addition to teaching here at CentreStage Dance, Shelby is also studying Health Sciences at S.F.U. and will complete her Bachelor’s Degree in 2019.

Shelby enjoys working on choreography in various styles, and sharing her passion of dance with the students she teaches. This is Shelby's 7th year teaching at CentreStage Dance, and she is excited to share her enthusiasm, and love of dance with her students.
