Creative Movement, Tap
Abby has been dancing since she was just two years old! She has been a part of the CentreStage Dance family for the past seven years and worked very hard to join the competition program just two years after coming to the studio. She has trained in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Modern/Contemporary over her many years of dance. Abby has always felt a strong place in her heart for Tap and made it her main focus over the past few years.
Over the course of eleven years Abby has completed numerous exams through the A.I.D.T. , I.S.T.D. and the R.A.D. associations. Abby has completed the Intermediate Foundation R.A.D. Ballet exam, and her Elementary A.I.D.T. Modern Exam achieving Honours or Honours with Distinction at every level. Abby has also finished all of her I.S.T.D. Tap exams spanning eleven years achieving Honours with Distinction in her final Advanced I grade.
Abby has competed in a variety of styles since the age of 11, winning multiple awards and gaining extensive amounts of experience. She has competed not only in large groups but in small classes, and trios. Over the past five years she has also trained at several conventions. Training at conventions has allowed her to learn from high level professionals and try out a broad spectrum of styles.
Outside of dance Abby is a dedicated student where she excels at academics and her studies. Her dedication translates into her dancing and teaching as she is always excited and dedicated to teaching students the art of dance and help them find happiness and confidence in performing. She also loves to care for children in her community, volunteering as often as she can.
Abby is a very kind and compassionate individual who is always wearing a smile. She strives to make dance fun and she always has a positive attitude. Abby is beyond thrilled to be able to teach and is looking forward to sharing her passion of dance with her students in the way her teachers shared theirs.
We are excited to have Abby join our faculty here at CentreStage Dance!
