ZOOM CLASSES GOING ON NOW
Hello dance family!
We cannot tell you how much we are missing all of you and your children!
We cannot thank you enough for your continued encouragement, thoughtful emails and messages. We couldn’t get through this without the support of each and every one of you! We hope you have all been staying safe and healthy, and enjoyed the free classes with us on our exclusive Facebook page. We hope that they have brought some joy and movement into your days thus far!
Just like everyone else, we are having to take this day to day as things continue to evolve and change. And like all other small businesses, this is a very challenging time for us. Do know that we are working hard to give you and your children the service, compassion, and quality that CentreStage Dance has always been known for.
With our Province's Health Official's announcement of no large mass gatherings through this summer, we all have to be realistic moving forward.
Your children are, and always have been our number one priority. We want to make sure that they get some normalcy back into their days, and help to maintain that sense of routine while so much is going on around them. We want to help keep all of your children physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy during this difficult time. We want to be able to continue to enrich the training that they have already received here in studio, and give them that sense of connection and community that they have here at CentreStage Dance.
We are moving forward with positivity as we know the future of CentreStage Dance and that of each of our dancers is bright. As we all know, group activities and classes of any kind for the next while are all going online in order to maintain social distancing. We are confident that we have a great plan in place for all of your families. For the months of May, and June our regular weekly classes will be held via Zoom! These online classes are a great way for the kids to see their dance friends and teachers each week, have that face to face connection, and dance together! Just like your children are missing their classmates and teachers, we are missing them as well and are so excited to see them! There will be a Zoom ID link for each class, and we will send you those along with the class day/times in the updated online class schedule. Please not that classes have been shortened and some combined. Please email the studio if you did not receive this information from us. We are hopeful that we may be able reenter the studio for our regular classes in June, but we do need to be realistic that this just may not be possible.
Zoom classes will start up Sunday, May 3rd. If you have absolutely any questions at all, just let us know via email. We want to be here to support you as well in whatever way we are able. Once Zoom classes begin, we will not be hosting classes on our Exclusive Facebook page, as our teacher's time is limited.
We do have a "Plan B" in place for August rehearsals and recitals, and we are hopeful that if we continue to "flatten the curve" that we will be able to get your children on stage in their costumes! Your children deserve it and so do you! Obviously only if this is completely safe to do so with the go ahead from our government health officials. With the Province's announcement of no mass gatherings throughout the summer we do need to be realistic that recitals on stage may not happen this year even if pushed back into the summer months. And email with out "Plan B" calendar has gone out, so please do let us know if you did not receive it.
As news comes to us from our venues, competitions or exam associations we will inform you right away.
We will also contact everyone soon in regards to how we will be holding our pre-registrations and registrations for next season.
Again we thank you all so much for your ongoing support, we miss everyone so much and can't wait to see you soon!
In a community-based studio where acceptance, creativity and development are priorities, we approach competition classes with the idea of intense training and fun coming together. Competition classes are geared towards our highly dedicated students who want a more committed and serious class.
Keeping the idea of fun, we approach competitions as an opportunity to showcase the dancer’s hard work, while allowing for growth and technical feedback. We instill excitement and commitment through our competition classes, allowing students to develop their self-expression, creativity and performance skills.
Here at CentreStage Dance, competing is not all about “winning”. Being a great dancer is not about the awards. Going to a competition is about doing your absolute best, and being proud of your accomplishment.
As soon as you can walk
you can join the fun!
