Shannon Leigh Pouznar
Shannon stands as a distinguished examiner in both Modern and Tap for the AIDT, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her craft. Through unwavering commitment and tireless effort, she has achieved the prestigious distinction of becoming Canada's first AIDT Examiner, proudly representing the organization with honor and expertise.
Hana Pauls
Hana began dancing at the age of three, and then became a part of CentreStage Dance at the age of five. She has trained in many styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, and Contemporary since beginning at CentreStage Dance. Hana has achieved high marks on her Intermediate and Grade 7 R.A.D. Ballet Exams and has completed all of her A.I.D.T. Modern Exams. Hana has also completed her level one of teaching certification with International Dance Teaching Standards.
Heather Chapman
Heather Chapman was born and raised in Vancouver BC. She has been dancing since she was 7 years old right here at CentreStage Dance. For the past 31 years, Heather has developed her knowledge of Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Stage. She has attended many dance workshops and competitions throughout the Lower Mainland representing CentreStage Dance with positivity and enthusiasm.
Trent Kaiser
Trent was drawn to dance, specifically Hip Hop, since his first dance class at his old high school, Sullivan Heights. He is well versed and proficient in the foundations of Hip-Hop and street styles such as Popping and Locking.
Trent has numerous experiences travelling with teams and crews for internationally renowned competitions. He has competed notably at “H.H.I.” (World Hip Hop Dance Championships), “World of Dance”, and “Dancer’s Paradise”. Trent is also proud to have been a part of the well-known “Canada’s Got Talent” in 2023.
Sarah Po Ting Yeung
Sarah’s journey as a dancer began in Hong Kong and led her across Europe and Canada, where she trained and performed with renowned schools and companies, including The Hamburg Ballet, Dresden Semperoper Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, The Hong Kong Ballet, and Royal Winnipeg Ballet, building a professional performance career that spanned over 12 years.
Peiton Kraal
We are so thrilled to have Peiton join our CSD family!
With years of training and performance experience, Peiton is a passionate dancer, creative choreographer, and enthusiastic instructor specializing in Acro Technique, Jazz, and Lyrical. She was the head of the Robert Bateman Dance Program dance team creating a full-scale show presented by the program, showcasing her creativity, leadership, and dedication to the arts.
Amanda Griffin
For the past 34 years, dance has been a very important part of Amanda's life. Her years of dance have included studying in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Amanda's desire to perform has also given her the opportunity to compete successfully in many dance competitions in groups, duos, and solos.
Paige Evans
Paige began dancing at CentreStage Dance when she was 3 years old. She has trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Acro, Modern and Salsa. Paige has completed her A.I.D.T. exams in Tap and Jazz with "Honours" and "Honours with Distinction." Paige has also completed her R.A.D. grade eight award in Ballet as well as doing her Intermediate at the vocational level.
Amani Agbonkhese
Amani was born and raised in Coquitlam, BC and started dancing at the age of four. Her love for the artform grew in kindergarten, when she joined a Musical Theatre program, and went on to perform in several musicals. Eventually, Amani wrote and produced three of her own from 2018-2020. These experiences planted the seed of her passion for dance, choreography, and teaching. In 2021, she joined the Centrestage Dance family, where that seed took root. Since then, she has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Choreography.
Riley Bettesworth
Riley Bettesworth has been a part of CentreStage dance since the young age of three! From a very early age Riley found her passion and has become one of the hardest working dancers here at CentreStage Dance. Her drive, dedication and positive energy make her the perfect role model for all our younger dancers.
Lindsay Wilson
For over the last 40 years Lindsay has gained her extensive dance training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary/Modern, Stage/Singing and Hip Hop. She is certified by the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (C.D.T.A.) and the International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A.) in Tap and Jazz.
Brianne Maxwell
Brianne Maxwell has been dancing since the age of three and has been teaching for the past fourteen years. She has trained extensively in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. Throughout her years of training she has found that Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary are her passion. She has won numerous awards and scholarships at a variety of competitions and conventions, as well as several choreography awards.
Taylor Corbeil
Taylor Corbeil’s passion for dance started at a very young age. Her training involves various styles including Acrobatics, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap and Musical Theatre. She represented Team Canada in the first World Acro Dance competition in Mexico 2023. With her 2 groups coming home with gold and silver, and her solo placing 7th for adult female soloists. Taylor is continuing her training at A3 district as a part of their adult Contemporary program competing at World of Dance LA 2025.
Nicole Ferreira
Nicole has been dancing since the age of three and throughout her years of dance she trained extensively in a wide range of styles. As a dancer who took her training very seriously, Nicole trained up to 30+ hours per weekly in styles including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop. Nicole was accepted into her studio’s company program at age seven and competed several times each year in various competitions not only in the Lower Mainland, but also on Vancouver Island, throughout the Okanagan, Seattle, and Oregon.
