Shannon Leigh Pouznar

Shannon stands as a distinguished examiner in both Modern and Tap for the AIDT, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her craft. Through unwavering commitment and tireless effort, she has achieved the prestigious distinction of becoming Canada's first AIDT Examiner, proudly representing the organization with honor and expertise.

Hana Pauls
Instructor: Creative, Ballet, Modern/Contemporary
Hana began dancing at the age of three, and then became a part of CentreStage Dance at the age of five. She has trained in many styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, and Contemporary since beginning at CentreStage Dance. Hana has achieved high marks on her Intermediate and Grade 7 R.A.D. Ballet Exams and has completed all of her A.I.D.T. Modern Exams. Hana has also completed her level one of teaching certification with International Dance Teaching Standards.

Heather Chapman
Instructor: Advanced I Associate A.I.D.T. Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Production, Exam
Heather Chapman was born and raised in Vancouver BC. She has been dancing since she was 7 years old right here at CentreStage Dance. For the past 31 years, Heather has developed her knowledge of Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Stage. She has attended many dance workshops and competitions throughout the Lower Mainland representing CentreStage Dance with positivity and enthusiasm.

Kayla Hachey
Instructor: Hip Hop, Jazz
Kayla has been dancing since she was 5, training extensively in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Modern here at CentreStage Dance. Kayla is trained in A.I.D.T. Modern & R.A.D. Ballet, currently completing her Intermediate Modern exams & Advanced Foundation Ballet. Kayla’s dedication and effort has not gone unnoticed, and she has been awards scholarships from examiners from around the world.

Sarah Po Ting Yeung
Instructor: RAD Ballet
Sarah’s journey as a dancer began in Hong Kong and led her across Europe and Canada, where she trained and performed with renowned schools and companies, including The Hamburg Ballet, Dresden Semperoper Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, The Hong Kong Ballet, and Royal Winnipeg Ballet, building a professional performance career that spanned over 12 years.

Mackenzie Kelly
Instructor: Acrobatics
Mackenzie Kelly began her dance journey at the young age of three and has since built an accomplished career as both a performer and instructor. She has trained extensively, completing Royal Academy Of Dance (R.A.D.) and Cecchetti Ballet Exams, Association of International Dance Teachers (A.I.T.D.) and ADAPT Jazz Exams, and Associated Dance Arts For Professional Teachers (A.D.A.P.T.) Acrobatics Exams.

Courtny Thane
Director: Instructor : AIDT Full Associate, Modern Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre
Courtny has established herself in the dance community for the past 30 years as a highly successful choreographer and instructor. Her extensive dance training encompasses the disciplines of Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap and Musical Theatre.

Amanda Griffin
Instructor: AIDT Advanced Associate III, Creative, Jazz, Exam, Modern
For the past 33 years, dance has been a very important part of Amanda's life. Her years of dance have included studying in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Amanda's desire to perform has also given her the opportunity to compete successfully in many dance competitions in groups, duos, and solos.

Paige Evans
Instructor: Creative, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary
Paige began dancing at CentreStage Dance when she was 3 years old. She has trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Acro, Modern and Salsa. Paige has completed her A.I.D.T. exams in Tap and Jazz with "Honours" and "Honours with Distinction." Paige has also completed her R.A.D. grade eight award in Ballet as well as doing her Intermediate at the vocational level.

Sam Boyd
Instructor: Acrobatics
Sam’s dance journey began in the Fraser Valley when she was just 9 years old. Since then, she’s explored a wide range of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. Her love of dance has taken her across North America and around the world to Denmark and England, giving her valuable experiences as both a performer and a teacher.

Lindsay Wilson
Instructor: Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop
For over the last 40 years Lindsay has gained her extensive dance training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary/Modern, Stage/Singing and Hip Hop. She is certified by the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (C.D.T.A.) and the International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A.) in Tap and Jazz.

Brianne Maxwell
Instructor: Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Stretch & Strengthen, Technique
Brianne Maxwell has been dancing since the age of three and has been teaching for the past fourteen years. She has trained extensively in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. Throughout her years of training she has found that Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary are her passion. She has won numerous awards and scholarships at a variety of competitions and conventions, as well as several choreography awards.

Deanna Carter
Instructor: R.A.D. RTS Full Member of the R.A.D, Ballet, Pointe, Exam
Deanna Carter is a highly qualified Ballet Teacher, who has trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern for the past 44 years. In 1997, Deanna completed an intensive teachers training course to become a certified teacher with the Royal Academy of Dancing.

Sayda Bandringa
Instructor: Acrobatics
Sayda’s list of achievements to date is admirable, and it is because of her dedication to always giving her best. To name a few, she was the recipient of an iDance Scholarship to train in her choice of Paris or Lisbon. Sayda was accepted to train at New Yorks’s Peridance Premier Dance Centre. And The One Dance Experience awarded Sayda a $1000 scholarship for Disney’s Dance Team.

Taylor Corbeil
Instructor: Acrobatics
Taylor Corbeil’s passion for dance started at a very young age. Her training involves various styles including Acrobatics, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap and Musical Theatre. She represented Team Canada in the first World Acro Dance competition in Mexico 2023.

Chelsea Schurko
Instructor: Acrobatics
Chelsea was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and has been performing and teaching professionally for 20 years. She has had years of extensive training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Acrobatics and Hip Hop. As a dancer Chelsea was crowned Miss Teen Canada Global in 2003, continuing to place runner-up in the Miss Teen Global pageant.
