Chelsea Skoro
Instructor: Hip Hop
Chelsea first stepped into our dance studio at the age of eight, where she discovered a passion for hip hop.
After two years of recreational training, Chelsea was quickly invited to join CentreStage Dance’s Company program. Throughout her dance career, Chelsea has trained in Hip Hop, Jazz, and Ballet. Chelsea completed her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Grade 2 and Grade 3 Ballet examinations before deciding to put her energy and dedication into Hip Hop and street styles.
From a young age Hip Hop became Chelsea’s primary focus and her favourite style. Throughout her competitive years, she committed numerous hours a week at the studio training, while also attending workshops, masterclasses conventions and competitions. Chelsea has trained with some of the top instructors and choreographers around and always brings great energy with her.
Chelsea also began assistant teaching here at CentreStage Dance several years ago. It was always so apparent when watching her work with the dancers that she would one day be a part of our teaching staff. Chelsea puts everything she has into her work and her students will benefit from her work ethic and dedication.
Over the years, Chelsea has performed in solos, small groups, large groups, and numbers with over 40 dancers always being an integral part of the team. These experiences have strengthened her ability to collaborate, communicate, and support those around her. Along the way, she has celebrated numerous competitive achievements, including championship titles and several top-scoring routines at regional competitions and the BC Dance Provincial Finals.
Chelsea is excited to share her positive energy and love for Hip Hop with our dancers!
