Hana Pauls
Instructor: Creative, Ballet, Modern/Contemporary
Hana began dancing at the age of three, and then became a part of CentreStage Dance at the age of five. She has trained in many styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, and Contemporary since beginning at CentreStage Dance. Hana has achieved high marks on her Intermediate and Grade 7 R.A.D. Ballet Exams and has completed all of her A.I.D.T. Modern Exams. Hana has also completed her level one of teaching certification with International Dance Teaching Standards.
At the age of eleven, Hana became a part of the company program at CentreStage Dance and has worked hard and earned many awards as both a team member and a soloist. During this time as a student, she found a love for choreographing and frequently competed in the self-choreography division.
Alongside her training at CentreStage Dance, Hana has had many outside opportunities in the dance world, which includes her acceptance to compete as a part of Team Canada Dance in 2014. During her time on the team, Hana trained with professional dancers and instructors who have pushed her to become a better dancer herself. As a part of Team Canada, she had the opportunity to compete at the IDO World Dance Championships in Mikolajki, Poland. Hana was also the recipient of the Peak Live Dance Scholarship in 2014 and was featured on the cover of the July 2014 issue of Industry Dance Magazine.
Additionally, Hana has recently graduated from Simon Fraser University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in Criminology.
Hana enjoys working with choreography in a variety of styles and sharing her passion for dance with her students. She absolutely loves teaching her students, while being able to show them how dance inspires her on a daily basis. This is Hana’s 8th year teaching at CentreStage and we are so excited to have her on our teaching staff!
