Nicole Ferreira

Instructor: Acrobatics

Nicole has been dancing since the age of three and throughout her years of dance she trained extensively in a wide range of styles. As a dancer who took her training very seriously, Nicole trained up to 30+ hours per weekly in styles including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop. Nicole was accepted into her studio’s company program at age seven and competed several times each year in various competitions not only in the Lower Mainland, but also on Vancouver Island, throughout the Okanagan, Seattle, and Oregon.

Nicole’s very first performance was in Acrobatics, sparking a lifelong passion for the discipline. At age thirteen, she discovered an interest in Contortion and began training in the art form. As an adult, she has continued to expand her skills by continuing her dance training and taking additional Contortion classes and workshops through the Acrobatic Arts program. She holds her Responsible Adult certification as well as her Acrobatic Arts certification. Nicole looks forward to pursuing even more professional development opportunities and is excited to work with our dancers here at CentreStage Dance.

Outside of dance, Nicole also works at the Pitt Meadows Recreation Centre, where she teaches preschool sports and works with children and youth ages three to eighteen through after-school programs, summer camps, and the teen lounge. She believes that young people are among the most important members of the community and is passionate about helping them grow and thrive.

When she isn’t teaching or working, Nicole enjoys practicing dance at home, dancing with the adult classes at CentreStage, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. Nicole is thrilled to be a part of the CentreStage Dance teaching faculty, sharing her love of dance with all of her students!
