Sam Boyd

Instructor: Acrobatics

Sam’s dance journey began in the Fraser Valley when she was just 9 years old. Since then, she’s explored a wide range of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. Her love of dance has taken her across North America and around the world to Denmark and England, giving her valuable experiences as both a performer and a teacher.

With a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a focus in exercise science, Sam combines her understanding of the human body with her passion for movement and expression. Her academic background includes anatomy, motor learning, sport psychology, and adapted physical activity, giving her a unique perspective on how to train dancers in a safe, effective, and empowering way.

Sam is certified through Acrobatic Arts as well as Alixa Flexibility, and has led acro programs and exam prep at multiple studios. She’s taught dancers of all ages and levels, including adult beginners and students with a range of physical, mental, and emotional abilities and always strives to meet her students where they are at.

What drives Sam most is helping young dancers build not just technique, but a lifelong connection to movement. She’s passionate about using dance to teach physical literacy, giving kids the tools they need to move with confidence, coordination, and joy in every stage of life. Her classes focus on creativity, discipline, and fun, with an encouraging atmosphere where every dancer can grow as both an artist and an athlete.
