Musical Theatre encourages students to combine dance with characterization. Learning how to use body and facial expressions to create a character is the key to unlocking a child's potential. Students learn to project their voices to the audience through speech and song. Musical Theatre classes begin with a warmup, we work on dance technique similar to Jazz and also characterization exercises. All finishing off with an entertaining number from a popular musical to be performed on stage!
From year-to-year dances may be a “Stage” routine (lip syncing), or “Song and Dance” (singing).
Class includes a dance & vocal warm-up & a combination of dance movements across the floor and character exercises. Classes are available for students ages 6 and up.
